Hosted by the Project for Nuclear Awareness, Peace Jam 2008 aims to educate and empower college students and young adults, aged 18-30, to support public awareness of, and action on, nuclear weapons policy. This event will take place Thursday, April 3 from 7pm to midnight at World Café Live (3025 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104), and aims to attract a large crowd of young people, ages 18-30, and expose them to good music and the PNA mission. By holding Peace Jam 2008 at World Café Live, a popular Philadelphia venue within walking distance of the University of Pennsylvania, we hope to reach out to young people and engage them in activism. Our goal is recruiting Youth Leaders and kicking-off our Voter Registration drive through a fun, lively evening.
The evening will feature 5 acoustic bands who are donating their talents to our cause. Our lineup is as follows:
Oud Blues; Mark Rice; Katie Barbato; Dan Collins; Parsnip Revolt.
